After receiving your acceptance letter and paying your tuition deposit, our Academy Coordinator will provide you with a list of must-have items as well as suggested items to bring with you to Las Vegas.

No, the Pastry Academy does not offer lunch included with your tuition. Every day, there will be a lunch break at the Academy’s break room where students can eat a lunch they brought with them.

As this is an important new trend in the pastry industry, yes, we will be introducing students to this in one of the modules.

No, The Pastry Academy does not offer any financial aid programs.

Academy

We are currently enrolling for our final 10-week program in March 2024. Beginning in June 2024, we are excited to be releasing a newly designed 7-week program! Students will learn the same modules and information, but significantly reducing the time commitment in Las Vegas.

Tuition deposits for our program are non-refundable, non transferable.

In addition to class instruction, tuition covers three embroidered chef jackets, an equipment kit including all necessary tools for pastry creation by Matfer Bourgeat, and a course handbook with information covering all the course modules.

We are accepting anyone over the age of 16; however, if an applicant is under 18 years of age permission from a parent/guardian may be required.

Yes, all students who successfully finished all modules will be awarded a certificate.

In order to understand the materials covered in the program, students enrolling in The Pastry Academy must be able to communicate in English.

We want to give students the personal attention required to succeed. In order to do that, we limit the class size to 24 students per teacher.

Yes, the Pastry Academy welcomes people of all skill levels who are enthusiastic about pastry arts. We are interested in all applicants who want to elevate their career and grow within the pastry industry, or are looking to change careers.

Our curriculum is an intensive 7 week program designed to teach all skills necessary to succeed in the pastry industry. The skills you’ll learn will help you progress from an entry-level role to eventually becoming a Pastry Chef.

There is currently no mandatory certification or licensing required to be a pastry chef. The diploma awarded at the completion of the program will state that you have successfully completed the Pastry Academy’s curriculum designed by Amaury Guichon. This will be recognized throughout the industry.

Staff

During your session you will have a maximum of 2 main instructors depending on what module you are learning. In addition, depending on availability, some outside specialized professionals will visit the school and teach specific subjects throughout the program.

Chef Amaury is highly involved with the program and actively works and teaches at the school. Students will have several opportunities to learn directly from Chef Amaury throughout the program.

Location

Yes, our Academy Coordinator will provide any information you will need about the nearby public transportation and how to get to and from the school easily.

Yes, there is parking adjacent to the school that students can access on a first come, first served basis.

Housing arrangements are not provided by The Pastry Academy. However, the Academy is working closely with a company that provides exclusive housing to students at discounted prices. The Academy Coordinator will be pleased to connect you to them after your application has been approved.

The Pastry Academy is located in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas, NV. It is central to many nearby attractions such as Fremont Street Experience and The Las Vegas Strip, as well as restaurants and shops.
